4. Data Ownership
All data generated through your use of AutoServe — including data submitted by guest users at the time of booking — is owned by AutoServe. This includes, without limitation, your name, contact information, vehicle data, booking records, service history, behavioral data, inferred data, and any other information collected through your interaction with the platform, whether or not you have created an account.
By using AutoServe, you grant AutoServe a perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, disclose, and fully commercialize such data — in individual, identified, de-identified, aggregated, or any other form — for any lawful purpose whatsoever, without restriction and without any obligation to compensate you. AutoServe's rights to your data survive account deletion, opt-out requests, and termination of your use of the platform with respect to data collected prior to such events.
5. How We Share and Sell Your Information
AutoServe may share, sell, license, transfer, or otherwise disclose your data — including individually identified data — to any third party for any lawful purpose, at AutoServe's sole discretion, without further notice to you beyond this Policy. This includes but is not limited to:
- Commercial data buyers and licensees of any kind, for any lawful purpose
- Service providers and dealerships necessary to fulfill your booking
- Technology and analytics vendors who help us operate the platform
- Business partners, investors, and acquirers in connection with any business transaction, including merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of AutoServe or its assets
- Legal and regulatory authorities when required by law
AutoServe does not restrict the categories of third parties to whom it may sell or license data, nor the purposes for which those third parties may use it, beyond what is required by applicable law.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter, or as required by law. AutoServe may retain and continue to use and commercialize data in any form indefinitely, including after account deletion or opt-out, with respect to data collected prior to such events.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Account deletion: You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@myautoserve.com. Account deletion does not require AutoServe to delete, recall, destroy, or cease using data already collected, sold, licensed, or otherwise commercialized prior to your deletion request.
Marketing opt-out: You may opt out of promotional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.
Opt out of the sale of your personal information: You have the right to opt out of the future sale of your personally identified data at any time. To exercise this right:
- Email support@myautoserve.com with the subject line "Data Sale Opt-Out"
Once we receive and verify your request, we will stop selling your individually identified data to new third-party buyers within 30 days. This opt-out does not apply to data already sold or licensed prior to your request, aggregated or anonymized data, or data sharing necessary to fulfill active bookings or comply with legal obligations.
California residents (CCPA): California residents have the right to know what personal information has been collected and sold, the right to request deletion, the right to opt out of sale, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Submit requests to support@myautoserve.com.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
AutoServe is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-platform notice. Continued use of AutoServe after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Guest users are bound by the version of this policy in effect at the time of their booking.
